GA welcomed 15 students from its sister school in Beijing at the end of January as part of the Curriculum Partnership Program.
At Germantown Academy, students are challenged, supported, and engaged in a multitude of ways that lead to a transformational learning experience. They graduate as individuals who are capable of achieving far more than they had ever imagined.

Nine students placed first or second in the 2024 James J. Doyle Oral Proficiency Contest sponsored by the Montgomery County Association of Teachers of Foreign Languages. Nosotros estamos orgullosos de ti! Nous sommes fiers de vous! Wǒmen wèi nǐ zìháo! We are proud of you!
Germantown Academy was well-represented on the lists, with 26 student-athletes being recognized, two of whom were named the Most Valuable Player for their respective sport. In addition, the Independence Hockey League announced their All-League teams as well, with five student-athletes making the list.
GA's Art Across the Academy sponsored alumna Drew Tye Ruby-Howe '05's amazing art installation. There were also many beautiful teaching moments from all divisions. One of the take-away lessons was to feel what emotion you are having, then find a paint color that you think represents that. Little and big students, along with some faculty, loved getting their hands dirty to create gorgeous art of their own.

One of the most joyful parts of this project is when the students discover that their audience will be their parents. The A-Z Library & Learning Commons comes to life with second graders ready and waiting for their parents to arrive and become their students. Parents move from station to station, learning along the way, and getting an opportunity to practice many literacy skills.
After being given an opportunity to review the third grade curriculum, we felt that there was an opportunity to expand our knowledge and teaching about the Indigenous People local to the Germantown Academy area as well as the rest of the country.
